Housing Coordinator
Job Description
The Housing Coordinator is responsible for managing the overall occupancy of BrightSpot homes and pipeline of guests coming into the homes. The position will require weekly trips to each home to maintain inventory of house essentials and address any issues escalated by House Care Managers, in addition to managing intake and discharge of guests, and house fee collections.
The Housing Coordinator position will be a flexible part time position and require an estimated 10 hrs/week to begin. As BrightSpot expands into more houses, more hours will be available.
Job Responsibilities
Field phone calls from Case Managers, Social Workers and potential guests, maintaining the pipeline and waitlist of potential guests
Schedule and perform house showings to programs and guests
Overseeing and managing monthly collections
Manage intake and discharge of guests
Purchase essentials and ensure houses are stocked
Work with guests to resolve conflict escalated by House Care Managers
Weekly report to manager with changes, vacancies, leads, etc
Job Skills & Qualifications
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
A proven track record of working with homeless, disabled, veteran, and/or addiction
populations
Strong knowledge of SSI, SSDI, funding, financial aid, and grants in Indiana
Excellent verbal and written communication
Requirements
Compassionate, but firm with a diplomatic approach to conflict resolution
Word processing and spreadsheet skills
Social media marketing experience a plus
Tech savvy
